This is the A’Rosa Blu, a large cruiseship. This ship was built in 1990 in Italy. Fist it was called the Crown Princess, and in 2002 it was complete renovated. The name was then changed into A’Rosa Blu. In 2004 the name changed into AIDAblu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History
The vessel was constructed by Fincantieri in 1990 for Sitmar Cruises, and was under construction when P&O Princess Cruises took over the company. The ship was completed and named Crown Princess, and operated with the Princess Cruises fleet until mid 2002, when the ship was transferred to a new P&O Cruises company aimed at the German market; A’ROSA<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Operating under the name Arosa Blu, the ship was one of two planned transfers to the A’ROSA fleet. Financial problems prevented the second transfer, and in September 2003, Arosa Blu was transferred to AIDA Cruises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Refitted and renamed AIDAblu, the vessel reentered service in 2004, and became the fourth vessel in AIDA’s fleet. Like all AIDA ships, the focus is on luxury cruising for those who prefer an active and health-conscious lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ocean Village Two
In April 2007, the vessel was transferred to Ocean Village, and refitted to operate under the name Ocean Village Two, as the brand expands it’s summer Mediterranean and winter Caribbean itineraries. Ocean Village 2 now sails in the Western Mediterranean in the Summer season from Palma and the Caribbean in the Winter season from Bridgetown, Barbados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
